Jeremy Charles Eckstrom, 35, of Huron, SD, died Saturday, October 17, 2009, his at his home.

His memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, at the Huron Area Center for Independence Family Education Center, 1644 Lincoln Ave SW, Huron, SD.

Jeremy was born on July 12, 1974, in Pierre, SD.He grew up in Pierre, and Ft. Pierre, SD. He attended school in Ft. Pierre and Pierre, where he graduated from Riggs High in 1995.

After high school, Jeremy worked for Super Dooper and Economart.He later moved to Redfield and then to Huron, SD. In Huron he worked for Coborns in the bakery department. Jeremy also worked for the Huron Area Center for Independence.

Jeremy enjoyed working and being with friends and family. He especially enjoyed his nieces and nephews when he would visit, spending numerous hours playing and entertaining them.In the past few years he enjoyed making painted brick cars which he liked to give to friends and family.

Jeremy is survived by his 2 sisters, Mandy (Phillip) Parks of Fargo, ND, and Margot (Ryan) Lake of Gettysburg, SD; his dad, Alvin Eckstrom of Hinton, OK; his 2 aunts, Hazel (Larry) Melvin of Pierre, SD, and Sheila (Frank) Hurtado of Hinton, OK; his nieces and nephews, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Riyah Parks of Fargo, ND, and Nadyne and Bailey Lake of Gettysburg, SD; and several cousins.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother, Candy (Graves) Eckstrom; both sets of grandparents, Charles and Eleanor Graves, and Bud and Irene Eckstrom; and a great aunt, Kathryn von Weis.
