Obituary

Janette Hall, age 90, of 1345 Michigan Ave. SW, Huron died, Saturday, August 26, 2006, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 16, at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Grover officiating. Her body has been cremated and there will be no visitation. Janette Hall was born Claire Janette Shultner on November 13, 1915, to James Oscar Shultner and Vera Vey (Kirk) Shultner at Huron, SD. She attended elementary school, junior high school and senior high school, all at Huron, except for 1 year in elementary school at Highmore, SD, 1 year in junior high school at Fargo, ND, and her senior year at Fargo where she graduated from high school. Janette has lived in Huron all of her life except for her time in Highmore, Fargo, and 2 years at Stockton, CA. On July 13, 1942, Janette married Marvin Ralph Furch at Bakersfield, CA. He died on March 29, 1943. On August 3, 1945, Janette married Charles David Hall at Huron. He died on September 1, 1975. She was a beautician for 12 years, and a proofreader for the Huron Daily Plainsman for 14 1/2 years. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Huron. Janette loved life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with her many friends. Her interests included crafts, sewing, puzzles, games, and reading. She is survived by 2 daughters, Janie Lynn (Verlyn) Hines of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Mary Vey (Ernest Butch) Erling of Huron; 5 grandchildren, Teresa Lynn Hines, Trisha Rene (Evan) Paul, Amy Elizabeth (Dallas) Almond, April Emily (Jayson) Drake, and Charles Jozef Erling; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Dora Howard of Huron, and Peggy Zieske of Huron. She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands, Marvin Furch and Charles Hall; and 2 sisters, Alice Elizabeth Betty Shultner and Helen Aspland.
