Janet Floyd, age 63, of Huron, SD, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013. at Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 24, 2013, at Welter Funeral Home with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 1-2 pm Monday, June 24, 2013, at Welter Funeral Home. Janet Marie Moilan was born November 23, 1949, in Huron, to Marvin Sr. and Delores (Hansen) Moilan. She attended rural elementary school at Jackson Township No. 2. Janet graduated from Alpena High School in 1970. After graduation, she worked various jobs until she met Bill Floyd. Janet married Bill Floyd on June 20, 1973, in Pierre. The couple lived and farmed around the Onida area. Janet enjoyed shopping, movies, and eating out. Janet is survived by her husband, Bill Floyd of Pierre; brother, Marvin (Tessie) Moilan Jr. of Huron; two sisters, Linda Moilan of Minneapolis, MN, and Carol (Jim) Milbrandt of Huron; step mother, Wanda Moilan of Huron; step brother, David Beyer of Milwaukee, WI; step sister, Eva (Ron) Wipf of Huron; half-sister, Jewel (Reggie) Tschetter of Huron; half-brother, Mark (Deb) Moilan of Huron; special friend, Kevin Slepikas of Huron; several nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Cooper; brother-in-law, Duane Christopherson; and niece, Amy Christopherson.
