Jamie Halbur, age 53, of Huron, SD, died on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron with burial of her cremated remains at a later date. Memorial visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time Saturday, September 3, at the church. Jamie's family requests memorials to be given to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool. Jamie Mae Halbur was born on June 20, 1958 in Las Vegas, NV, to James and Marjorie (Parsons) Roach. She attended school Western High School in Las Vegas and later attended Clark County Community College. Jamie married Tony Halbur on November 26, 1977 in Boise, Idaho. Jamie volunteered at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and later was a stay at home mother. Jamie and Tony moved to Huron in 1993. Jamie was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Huron. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, cooking, and dinking around with Tony. Jamie is survived by her husband, Tony, of Huron; son, James (Amber) Halbur of Wessington, SD; daughter Kaitlin Halbur of Huron; 3 grandchildren, Sierra, Cian, and Avalon Halbur; 4 bonus grandchildren, Lars, Damien, Hadyn, and Bishop.
