James Arnold Jr., age 86 of Huron, SD passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.  A memorial service will be planned for a later date.

James Arnold Jr., the son of James Sr. and Mary (Heady) Arnold, was born on September 25, 1936 in Kentucky.  Where he attended school.  James served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Airforce and was honorably discharged.  James worked as a Locksmith to the stars while living in California.  He also worked as a truckdriver for many years until his retirement.

James married Roberta Chapman on October 27, 1984 in San Diego, CA. The couple made their home in California before moving to Huron.

James was a very caring person and a loving father and husband. James enjoyed volunteering at the Huron Humane Society and the South Dakota State Fair. He also enjoyed playing electronic games. One of James favorite activities was coffee time with his fellow truckers at the local truck stop.

Grateful for having shared in James' life are his wife Roberta of Huron, SD; son James Arnold III of Huron, SD; two step-sons, David and Danny Douville of Huron, SD; step-daughter, Donna Douville of Texas; 9 grandchildren; and 18 Great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank Arnold and Ronnie Arnold of Oregon

James was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Lee and Gladys Chapman; and Brother, Jesse Arnold.
