Jacob Kolousek, age 11, passed away July 24, 2015 at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center in Wessington Springs. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wessington Springs with a burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery at Crow Lake. Visitation with family present will be 5-6:30 pm Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with a scripture service and rosary at 6:30; or Wednesdsy morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Jacob's family prefers memorials be given in Jacob's name. Jacob Jerome Kolousek was born August 20, 2003 to Amber (Rounds) and Scott Kolousek and lived all his life on the family farm near Wessington Springs. He attended Wessington Springs Elementary School and was a member of Prairie Hills 4-H Club and Western Riders 4-H Club, as well as a member of Youth Blackhawk Football and was the water boy for the High School Blackhawks. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and earned the honor of serving as a Red Rope Altar Server. Jacob loved having opportunities to spend time with his many friends. Jacob's real love was the farm and helping his Dad & Grandpa in the shop and caring for all the animals. Our sweet boy's other interests included riding horse, fishing, hunting and shooting his .22, playing golf, reading, snow skiing, building forts & Lego creations and Minecraft. Jacob is survived by his parents; one brother, Isaac; two sisters, Abby and Ella; his maternal grandparents, Darold and Cindy Rounds; paternal grandparents, Dick and Janet Kolousek; great-grandparents, Fred and Lucille Geisler; great-grandmothers, Marvilla Rounds and Goldie Carter; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Dale Rounds, Pete & Ione Kolousek and Alfred Carter.
