Inez Baseley Hagerman, age 91, of Huron, SD, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Huron Regional Medical Center. Heaven welcomed a kind, gentle soul on a beautiful, spring morning. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at First United Methodist Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home; or Saturday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Inez Norma Waeckerle was born to Elizabeth (Rohn) and George Waeckerle on March 29, 1922, in Huron, SD. Inez lived her whole life in Huron graduating from Huron High School in 1939. She married Harry Baseley on September 23, 1940, in Dakota City, NE. They had three children. She was the office manager/bookkeeper for Kutil's General Auto Electric for 50 years, working for 3 generations of the Kutil family. For many years, she enjoyed bowling on Larry's Style Shop and Berg's team, and she and Harry bowled mixed doubles for many years. She was a member of UCT Auxiliary and Huron Lioness. Her kids and grandkids could always count on having some of her delicious, favorite cookies (or pistachio dessert!) when they went to visit. She married Keith Hagerman on March 18, 1995. She is survived by 3 children Dennis (Sandy) Baseley of Dayton, OH, Ron (Jewel) Baseley of Creston, IA, and Joyce (Bruce) Henderson of Helena, MT, 9 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Harry in 1981 and Keith in 2011; 2 sisters, Irene Polly and Elynore Kinsman; grandson, Michael; and great grand-daughter, Ashley.
