Ida Linnea Ringheimer, age 93, of Huron, passed away on May 6, 2014 at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron. Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Huron with burial at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Ida Linnea Lundquist, the daughter of Carl and Ida (Ljung) Lundquist, was born on May 21, 1920 in Hitchcock, SD. She attended school in and around Hitchcock, SD. Ida married Leslie Ringheimer on December 24, 1945 in Aberdeen, SD. Ida was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Huron. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. Ida also loved to listen Daniel O'Donnell. Ida enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grateful for having shared in Ida's life are her two daughters, Marvis (Terry) McClure and Karen (Jack) Peck both of Huron, SD; four grandchildren: Mike (Debra) Carroll of Huron, SD, Robert (Natalia) McClure of Rockville, MD, Brenda (James) Bishop of Willis, TX, and Kathy (Kyle) Meyer of Huron, SD; two step-grandchildren, Travis (Janet) Peck and Terence Peck both of Huron, SD; seven great-grandchildren: Drew and Devon Carroll, Logan and Blake Meyer, Jaspen and Jayden Bishop, and Caden McClure; four step-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Taylor, Traiton, and Tanner Peck; special niece, LeAnn (Fred)Gause of Anderson, SC; and many other nieces and nephews. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie in 1995; brother, Arvid Lundquist; and four sisters: Thelma Reimer, Olga Peterson, Anna Lehman, and Edna Lundquist.
