Henrietta Dorthea Frieda Brinkman, the daughter of Reinhold and Martha (Schroeder) Brinkman, was born on June 1, 1918, in the Ramona/Winfred area of South Dakota. She lived on a farm north of Winfred, SD, until the death of her father in 1929, when Henrietta, her sister, and mother moved to Madison, SD, before moving to Huron in 1942.
Henrietta married Clifford Danley on December 24, 1947, at Clark, SD. The couple made their home in Huron. Henrietta worked at Swift and Company, Randall Foods, and Dakota Sash and Door.
Henrietta was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and had a love for dogs. Henriettas pride and joy, however, were her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her son, Darold (Elthea) Danley of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandsons, Kasey (Steffanie) Danley of Watertown, SD, and Korey (Tiffany) Danley of Avondale, AZ; her soon to be great grandchildren; sister, Lucille Newcomb of Bellevue, NE; and several nieces and nephews.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her father in 1929; her mother in 1989; her husband Clifford in 2001; and one brother, Henry in 1916.
