Helen Bernice McNaboe, age 89, of Huron, SD, died on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
Her Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron with burial at St. Martin Cemetery in Huron.
Her Visitation will be from 4-8p.m. Monday, January 10, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron, with the family present from 6-8 p.m., and a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m.; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Helen Bernice Landrigan, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Gill) Landrigan, was born on December 6, 1921, in Cavour, SD. She attended schools and graduated from Cavour High School in 1939.
Bernice married James "Ed" McNaboe, on May 1, 1940, in Cavour, SD. The couple moved to Huron, SD, in 1961. Bernice was self-employed as a housekeeper for many years.
Bernice was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron for many years. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Huron Birthday Club. Bernice enjoyed her Tuesday night coffee club and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to go to the car races.
Grateful for having shared in Bernices life are her 2 sons, Richard (Colliene) McNaboe of Watertown, SD, and Gene (Lydia) McNaboe of Vallejo, CA; 2 daughters, Rita Foiles and Marlene (Donald) Kiszer, both of Sioux Falls, SD; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and son-in-law, Darrel Foiles.
