Hazel L. Moeding, 89, Huron, SD died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 13, 2016 at Welter Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services.  Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Hazel was born May 24, 1926 to Francis and Mary Ellen (Peck) Styer in Huron.  She was raised in the Huron area, attending school through the 8th Grade.  On February 23, 1946, she married George Moeding at Alexandria, SD, they made their home in Huron.

After her children were raised, she spent a few years working for Bartholow Construction along with her husband George. She was mother and counselor to many of the road crew.  Hazel spent her life focusing on her family and truly enjoyed the outdoors.  Up until about a month ago, when her health no longer allowed it, she cooked dinner for her whole family every day, and they all knew don't be late unless you call ahead.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Kenneth) Meyer of Huron; four sons, Michael (Leann) Moeding, Melvin (Linda) Moeding, Martin (Jan) Moeding and Matthew (Ginger) Moeding all of Huron; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters; Ann North, Howard, SD, Betty Lou Dentz, Coon Rapids, MN, two sister's-in-law; Anne Mattke and Alice Mae Moeding, both of Huron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; one son, Mark Moeding and a brother, William Styer.
