Harrison lived to the age of 62 years and spent most of his life at Isabella. He was converted at the age of 26, and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on December 26, 1968, by Min. Elmer Boehs. He remained faithful to his vows as long as he lived. After his father passed away in October of 1997, Harrison moved to Iroquois, SD, to live near his younger brother, Frank. Harrison was always a very cheerful, likeable person who had lots of friends and loved children, especially his nieces and nephews. He was always in good health and never complained about anything. Fishing was one of his favorite past-times. His last month was spent at Sarasota, FL, with his sister, Gladys. Four days after his return to South Dakota, the Lord called him home very suddenly of an apparent heart attack. Those left to cherish fond memories are his sister, Gladys (Rodney) Hiebert of Sarasota, FL; his younger brother, Frank J. (Pearl) Nichols of Iroquois, SD; 5 nieces and nephews, Monroe (Shauna) Nichols of Osceola, SD, Mindi (Byron) Adkins of Iroquois, SD, Joel (Brandy) Hiebert of Wadley, GA, Mark Hiebert of Louisville, GA, and Lisa (Frank) Koehn of Arcadia, FL; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 infant sisters.
