Harold Lloyd "Harry" Bult, age 79, of Wessington Springs, SD passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Avera Brady in Mitchell, SD.

His Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the First Congregational Church in Huron with burial in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Huron.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday, September 11, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Harold L.  Bult, the son of Peter and Annie (Zevenbergen) Bult was born on March 4, 1940 in Wessington Springs, SD.  He attended school at the Wessington Springs Country School.  Harry worked as a meatpacker for Armour Foods and Swift Foods in Huron and Worthington, MN for many years until his retirement. After his retirement, Harry enjoyed mowing lawns and doing handywork for his neighbors.

Harry married Janet Sorenson on January 3, 1959 in Pipestone, MN. Janet passed away on February 16, 1996.  Harry married Lois Marvel on October 5, 1997.  Harry lived in Wessington Springs, Rushmore, MN, and Huron.

Harry attended the First Congregational Church for many years.  He was also a member of the Huron Moose Lodge. Harry enjoyed car racing, horseback riding as a kid, fishing, hunting, and billiards.  Harry loved anything that had to do with the outdoors.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandkids.

Grateful for having shared in Harry's life are his three children: Justin  Bult and Barry (Michael)  Bult, both of Sioux Falls , SD and Terri (Kris) Stemper of Mitchell, SD; nine grandchildren: David (Jenna) Byrd, April (Ryan) Kirkpatrick, Kelly Bult, Kyle Bult, Tasha (Travis) Wuestewald, Nathan Bult, Derrick Bult, Travis (Miranda) Bult, and Cassie Price; three step grandchildren: Sid (Alysa) Stemper, Shelby Stemper, and Samatha (Nick) Simonsen; fifteen great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Ginger; two brothers, Donald (Janet) Bult of Jonesboro, GA and  Richard (Faye) Bult of North Carolina;ex wife Lois; and many nieces and nephews.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet in 1996; son, Phillip Bult; seven brothers: John, Ray, LeRoy, Edward, Pete, Frank, and Earnest; and four sisters: Wilma, Anna Mae, Adline, and Jesse; and a brother in infancy.
