Greta N. Boone, age 85, of Denver, CO, formerly of Huron, passed away on Saturday March 9, 2013, at the Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, CO. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD, with burial at the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Huron. Her Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Greta N. Kuehl, the daughter of Otto and Ona (Horsley) Kuehl, was born on October 21, 1927, near Virgil, SD. Greta attended school and graduated from Huron High School. Greta Married Logan Boone Jr. on September 27, 1947 in Huron, SD. The couple made their home in Huron, SD, until moving to Denver, CO, in 1972. Greta worked as a bookkeeper for Norwest Bank in Huron and Southwest State Bank in Denver, CO, until her retirement in 1990. Greta was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Huron. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending her flower gardens. Her most precious gifts in life were her two daughters and their families. Grateful for having shared in Greta's life are her two daughters, Irene (Daniel) Poss of Sioux Falls, SD, and Linda (LeRoy) Fuller of Broomfield, CO; three grandchildren: Danah (Jim) Riswold, Rick (Kim) Spencer, and Laird Fuller; six great-grandchildren: Aaron, Alec, Justin and Ethan Riswold and Nicholas and Karlie Spencer; and several nieces and nephews. Greta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Logan in 1996; granddaughter, Lynette Fuller in 1989; and brother, Clifford Kuehl in 2002.
