Greg McVay, age 56, of Huron, SD, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Huron Regional Medical Center. His body has been cremated and his memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Gregory Allen McVay, age 56, son of Boyd and Frances (Frain) McVay, was born August 5, 1956, in Erie, PA. He grew up in the Red Oak, IA, and Council Bluffs, IA, area, and graduated from Red Oak High School. He worked as a salesman for manufacturers who purchased overstock items from various companies and then Greg traveled with the trucks around the region to sell those items He also held various jobs over the years including LSI in Alpena, and recently with Roth Plumbing. He is survived by 3 brothers, Gary (Mary) McVay of Des Moines, IA, Bob (Cindy) McVay of Plano, TX, and Mike McVay of Huron, SD; 2 sisters, Midge Berens of Huron, and Mary Ann (Danny) Rensch of State Center, IA; his special friend, Mara Mager of Huron; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Stephanie McVay; and 2 sisters, Cindy Rames, and Tammy Storjohan.
