Glen Palmquist, age 62, of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
His Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Bethel Mennonite Church, rural Yale, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation, with his family present, will be from 4-6 P.M., Friday, July 28, 2023 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday morning.
Glen Eugene Palmquist was born on May 14, 1961 to parents, John A. and Phyllis L. (Peterson) Palmquist in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Glen married Glenda Zeeck in Huron on June 4, 1988. Glen worked as an electrician in Madison before beginning his career as the maintenance director at Byron Bible Camp. He also worked for Ronnie Tschetter Farms for over 20 years before returning to Byron Bible Camp as the maintenance director.
Glen trusted Jesus early in his life with his main emphasis on camp ministry. He enjoyed serving in many ways such as being on the CEF Board of Directors, Byron Bible Camp Board of Directors and as a Deacon and Elder at Bethel Mennonite Church. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked to make sure everything was taken care of at home, church, and camp.
Glen is survived by his wife, Glenda of Huron; his children, Drew S. Palmquist of Huron, Callie J. Palmquist of Huron, and Cody J. Palmquist (fiancé Danyell Metter) and Cody's son Easton Stasser of Willow Lake; his sister, Cheryl (Kim) Lewis of Winifred, SD; nephew and nieces, Alexander Lewis, Ellen (Carter) Schwader, and Grace Lewis; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Phyllis.
