Gerald A. Beck, age 84, of Sioux Falls and formerly of Huron, passed away to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on Friday, March 8, 2019 in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Welter Funeral Home. A private family service will be held with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Huron.

Gerald Andrew Beck, was born to parents, Andrew and Nellie Beck of Cavour and Huron on March 26, 1934.

Gerald farmed south of Huron up until retirement, at which time he moved to Sioux Falls to reside with his son, Michael Beck.  He is survived by two sons, Michael of Sioux Falls, and Randy of Parker, SD.  He is also survived by a sister Delores Wessel of Sioux Falls and brother Ron Beck and his wife Judy of Huron, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his youngest son, Bryan Beck; his nephew, Paul Beck; and a brother-in-law Lowell Wessel.

Gerald loved farming and raising cattle and horses, along with building construction -- carpentry, plumbing, electrical, machinery repair.  He was very industrious, intuitive and could build and repair about anything.  He also enjoyed doing various construction projects with his sons.  Gerald's relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ was very important to him, and he liked to watch daily Christian programing on TV and talk about the Lord and Bible prophecy with his sons.
