Georgia Ann Hartley, age 88, of Huron, passed away on March 28, 2018 at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home in Huron.

Her burial service will be on Thursday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the Welter Funeral Home.

Georgia Ann Brown was born on January 7, 1930 in Guide Rock, Nebraska to James White and Georgia Brown. She was adopted by Ernest and Della Arrants when she was young. She attended school at School District #46 in Guide Rock, Nebraska.

Georgia moved to South Dakota as a young girl and lived in various places. She married Alfred Speck and then later married Hollis Hartley. She babysat for many families throughout her years. She enjoyed stuffed animals and dolls.

She is survived by good friends Peggy Dahr and Loretta Olson, both of Huron as well as her Violet Tschetter Memorial Home family who cared deeply for her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.
