Obituary
Georgia Grier, age 73, of Huron, SD, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
Her memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, in the Community Room at the Tamarac Apartments 1818 Arizona Ave. SW, in Huron; preceded by burial of her cremated remains at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Georgia Grier was born Georgia Ann North, daughter of Leon and Bernice (Whalen) North, on May 8, 1936, in Pierre, SD. She grew up in Missouri where she attended and graduated from high school.
On May 3, 1963, Georgia married Clifford Grier in Montrose, MO. In 2000, following the death of her husband, Georgia moved to Huron.
She became a resident of SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron on August 2, 2007.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Gayla (Kip Gillette) Vincent of Huron, and Nancy Mead of Huron; and 1 brother Tom of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; and a brother-in-law, Loren Mead.
