Obituary
Gaylen J. Galbreath, age 77, of Huron died Monday, November 15, 2010 at Huron Regional Medical Center.
His funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Huron Christian Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm, Noon, Wednesday until the start of the service at Huron Christian Church.
Gaylen James Galbreath was born June 27, 1933 at Doland, SD, to Orie and Leona (Labrie) Galbreath. His parents passed away when Gaylen was still young.
He became a resident of the Redfield State Hospital. He later moved to Huron, joining the Center for Independence, until he became a resident of SunQuest Health Care Center in October of 2009.
Gaylen had various jobs with the Center for Independence throughout the Huron community.
He enjoyed crafts, music, and going to community functions. Gaylen will be missed by his many friends throughout Huron.
Gaylen is survived by his Huron Family, Loren and Connie Ross, Carrie and Zoey Thomas; special friend, Janet Hanson; friend, Everet Hammer; brother, Cecil Galbreath of Huron; sister-in-law, Coletta Galbreath of Redfield; brother-in-law, Tom LaChance of CA; nieces and nephews.
Gaylen was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Leland and Merle; his sisters, Leila (Gerald) Stedman, Cleo LaChance, and Marguerite (Steve) Rozich.
