Gary Anderson, age 42, of Broadland, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 22nd at the Welter Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Wager officiating. Burial will be at Altoona Cemetery, rural Hitchcock. Friends may call after 3:00 PM Friday afternoon and evening or Saturday morning prior to the service at the Welter Funeral Home. Gary Dean Anderson was born on March 1, 1962, to Eldon and Marie (Lentz) Anderson at Huron, SD. He lived in the Hitchcock and Broadland area and in 1980, Gary graduated from Hitchcock High School. After his graduation he continued to live in the Hitchcock and Broadland area where he farmed and drove truck. Gary enjoyed farming and was always there to help anyone who needed a helping hand. He will be missed by his many friends. He is survived by his father Eldon Anderson of Hitchcock; one brother, James Anderson of Hitchcock; one sister, Gwen (Kurt) Effling of Artesian; and one niece Elizabeth Effling. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vera and Iver Anderson, and two aunts Alieda Boomsma and Genevieve Anderson.
