Frieda Waldner, age 91, of 1345 Michigan Ave. SW, Huron, SD, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron, SD.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, at Bethesda Church with burial at Ideal Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 1-8 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home or Tuesday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be directed to Bethesda Church of Huron.
Frieda Waldner was born Frieda Walter on December 25, 1916, to Paul F. and Justina (Stahl) Walter on a farm near Yale, SD. She attended school in Milford township.
On June 24, 1939, Frieda married Iky Wipf. He died July 1, 1979. On March 28, 1981, Frieda married Jake P. Waldner at Mitchell. He died on August 10, 1994. She moved back to Huron on August 14, 1994 where she has lived since that time.
She was a member of Bethesda Church of Huron. She enjoyed embroidery, puzzle books, reading the Bible and attending church and Sunday school.
She is survived by one daughter, LaVonne (Charles) Floe of Huron; one son, LaWayne (Deb) Wipf of Huron; one daughter-in-law, Fay Wipf of Huron; 10 grandsons; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her son, Vernal Wipf, and son-in-law, Larry Stinehart.
