Frieda E. Scheele, age 94, of 1207 Idaho Ave SE, Huron, died Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 2nd at American Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Brandsrud officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call this Thursday afternoon and evening or Friday morning at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the service at the church Friday afternoon. Frieda Scheele was born Frieda E. Verch on November 1, 1911, to Gustav and Anna (Matter) Verch at rural Cavour. On December 9, 1932, Frieda married Harold Christian Scheele at Belle Prairie Lutheran Church south of Iroquois, SD. She is survived by 3 sons, David (Gladys) Scheele, Robert (fianc Sylvia Myers) Scheele, and James (Luana) Scheele; 2 daughters, JoAnn (Marv) Claassen and Betty (Reginald) Derksen; 1 daughter-in-law, Brenda Scheele; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Mae Verch and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Scheele on April 18, 1980, an infant daughter, Judith Elaine Scheele on February 12, 1942, a son Daniel Lee Scheele on February 18, 1993, a daughter-in-law, Dee Scheele on January 3, 2003, her parents, 3 sisters, Wallie, Emma and Anna, and 2 brothers, Paul and Carl.
