Frances Langbehn, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 27, 2019 in Huron. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:30 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Huron with burial to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with her family present will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the church.

Frances Irene Grimes was born on October 28, 1922 in Lily, South Dakota to parents Harry and Bessie (Faulkender) Grimes.

A longtime resident of Huron, Frances was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1946 where she served as a deacon. She was a member of Hope Circle. Frances was a beautician with a salon in her home retiring at the age of 80 and even continued to do hair for her customers in the nursing homes.

On January 23, 1945, she married Lloyd Langbehn. He preceded her in death in 1986. They were active in the Mr. and Mrs. Dance Club, loved to fish and camp. She loved to travel to visit her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd in 1986, her son William Langbehn, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and five brothers and sisters.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her four daughters, Gloria (Charles) Roberts of Easton, PA, Judy Ulvestad of Pierre, Thez (Judy Harvey) Langbehn of Huron, and MaryAnn Langbehn of Pocatello, ID, son Dennis (Valarie) Langbehn of Hill City, daughter-in-law Sandra Langbehn of Pinckney, MI, and brother Burleigh (Wanda) Grimes of Illinois; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
