Ferne Osberg, age 85, of 1251 Arizona Ave. SW, Huron, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at the Huron Nursing Home. A private family burial service was held. Ferne Osberg was born Ferne Almina Moilan to Henry and Sophie (Karenin) Moilan on October 6, 1922, in Hamlin County, SD. On October 15, 1943, Ferne married Keith Osberg in Huron. She was a life-member of American Lutheran Church, life-member of the Huron Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, and a life-financial contributor to the Luther Seminary. She is survived by her husband, Keith of Huron; 2 children, Marilyn (Dennis) Brown of Bakersfield, CA, and Karl (Dee) Osberg of Huron; 7 grandchildren, Michelle and Albert Lujan, Amy Quon, Deborah (Eric) Williams, Jamie (Joe) Zilverberg, Tom Osberg, Abby Osberg, and Jennifer Osberg; 1 brother, Marvin (Wanda) Moilan of Hot Springs, SD; 40 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son Douglas Osberg; and 14 brothers and sisters.
