Eva Jean Fisher, age 83, of Huron died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Violet Tschetter Memorial Home in Huron. Her memorial service will be 11:00 am Monday, August 17, 2015 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Memorial visitation with the family present will be from 10-11 am Monday, August 17, 2015 at Welter Funeral Home. Eva Jean Olga Fisher was born on January 14, 1932 in Grand Island to Cay and Eda (Springsguth) Ewoldt. She graduated from Grand Island High in 1950. Eva married Robert Fisher on June 5, 1951 in Grand Island. She worked as an accounting clerk for several years. She moved with her family to Lakewood, CO in 1965 and continued to work as an accounting clerk for a retail store. Eva retired in 1992 after Robert passed away. Eva loved buying and collecting Hallmark Christmas ornaments. She also enjoyed traveling with her family, taking lots of pictures, gardening, and playing cards, especially pinochle. Eva is survived by her two children, Christine (Hal) Smith of Hitchcock, Steven Fisher Canon City, CO; five grandchildren, Jason Smith, Eric (Dawn) Smith, Sara Smith, Amie (Charles) Decker, Rachel (Preston) Cox; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Lee Ewoldt of Knoxville, IA, George (Toni) Ewoldt of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Robert; great grandchild, Owen Eagle Star in 2010, and her beloved dog, Scrappy.
