Eva Beck, age 91, of Omaha, formerly of Huron, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Skyline Retirement Community in Omaha. Her memorial service will be 10:30 am Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with a private family burial at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Eva Elsie Beck was born on February 25, 1921 to Herman and Bertha (Meyer) Moeller at Cavour, South Dakota. She married Knute Beck in Huron on June 28, 1939. Eva and Knute farmed in the Iroquois and Wolsey areas until 1962. She then worked as a sales associate at the J. C. Penney store in Huron until 1982. Eva moved to Omaha, NE in April, 2011 to be near her daughter. Eva is survived by her son, Clarence (Bonnie) Beck of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter, Janelle Schlenker, of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Gary Beck, Connie and Craig Schlenker, Kenneth and Jeffrey Cagel; great grandchildren, Tiffany and Eli Cagel, Christopher (Brenda Amore) Schlenker, Fisher Beck; 3 great great grandsons, Aidan and Bryce Cagel, and Cegan Schlenker; many relatives and friends Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Knute on December 20, 1978; brothers, Ed, Henry, Raymond, Richard, Kenneth and Bill Moeller; sisters Hazel Beckman, June Arbeiter and Margaret Galyen.
