Eugene McClure, Sr., age 64, formerly of Huron, died Saturday, March 16, 2013. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home; or Thursday morning one hour prior to the service. Eugene Kenneth McClure, Sr., son of Kenneth and Alice (Oestreich) McClure, was born on October 9, 1948, in Huron, SD. He attended high school in Huron. On March 27, 1965, Eugene married Jennette Siers in Huron. He worked in Huron for many years for Pepsi. Eugene later moved to Baraboo, WI, where he married Janet Boyd in 1982. He worked as a mason until his retirement when he moved to Irvington, KY, and resided the last several years. He is survived by his wife, Jan of Baraboo, WI; 1 son, Eugene McClure. Jr. and children, Amanda, Sierra, and Douglas; 1 daughter, Lisa McClure Patterson and children, Morgan and Eric; 1 great granddaughter, McKenna McClure; 2 brothers, Ronald McClure of Guston, KY, and Terry (Marvis) McClure of Huron; nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 brother, Douglas McClure.
