Eugene R. Brenner, age 83, of Huron, passed on to his heavenly home Monday, November 22, 2021 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. His funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Living Hope Alliance Church with the Rev. Chad Rose officiating. Burial will be at Ideal Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with his family present, will be from 4-6 PM on Thursday, December 9, 2021 with a prayer service to begin at 6 PM.

Eugene Richard Brenner was born July 16, 1938 at Alpena to Edward and Katie (Heer) Brenner. He moved to Huron at a young age, he attended Huron schools. Eugene then moved to Scotland, SD after the loss of his father to stay with his grandma on the farm.

He married Rose Wipf on November 17, 1956 in Pipestone, Minnesota.

He then moved back to Huron where he was employed by Wilson Motor Co. and the State Highway Department. He then moved to Huntington Beach, California where he drove a catering truck in Costa Mesa for 19 years. He then purchased an auto parts store in 1981 in Covina, California where he resided till 1991. He returned to Huron where he ground hay for Bales Continental and ran a mail route to Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Rose (Wipf) Brenner of Huron; two daughters, Brenda (Bob) Artz of Glendora, CA, Dawn (Ron) Hirano of Providence Forge, VA, two sons, Bradley (Brenda) Brenner of Bristol, SD, and Brent Brenner of Huron, 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Edward (Carol) Brenner, sisters Violet Weber and Lee Baker; one half-brother Red Brenner and three half-sisters; and brothers-in-law Elmer Weber, Ray Baker, and Philip Peterson.
