Ethel L. Burnett, age 82, of Huron, died on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Prairie View Care Center, in Woonsocket, SD. Her Burial Service was held on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Ethel L. Cook, the daughter of Gene T. and Elsie M. (Kirchoff) Cook, was born on October 2, 1929, in Marvin, SD. She attended country schools in the Huron and Winner area. Ethel married Harold Burnett on April 1, 1949, in Huron, SD. Ethel sold Fuller Brush for many years. Ethel was also a homemaker, and worked various other jobs. Ethel was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Huron. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and riding horses. Grateful for having shared in Ethel's life are her husband, Harold of Huron, SD; her 3 children: Jessica (Dave) Hofer of Omaha, NE, Harold Burnett of Watertown, SD, and Roy (Tina) Burnett of Huron, SD; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Vila Carpenter.
