Ethan Michael Songer, infant, 5 days old, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Sanford Medical Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Huron.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ethan Songer, the son of Samantha Songer was born on May 15, 2009, in Huron, SD, and though his life was short, he blessed his family greatly, and will always be remembered.

Ethan is survived by his mom, Samantha Songer and Richard C. Tellinghuisen; his grandparents, Kari and Darrell Songer, Huron, SD, and Beverly Tellinghuisen and Ross Warnke, Huron, SD; great-grandparents, Melvin Songer, and Keith and Rose Songer, both of Huron, SD; and Sharon and David Weiland Sioux Falls, SD; uncles, Wyatt and Dalton Songer; his great-uncles: Donald (Jodie) Songer, Wolsey, SD; Douglas Songer, Huron, SD; David Songer, Norfolk, NE; Duane (Ruth) Songer, Huron, SD; Tim Songer and Brian (Tonya Peterson) Songer both of Huron; his great-aunts, Vicki Songer, Huron and Charlotta Songer, WY.

Ethan was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Patty Songer; and 3rd cousin, Rodney Stas.
