Esther Fenski, age 91, of 1345 Michigan Ave. SW, Huron, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at the Huron Nursing Home. Her funeral mass will be at 10:30 AM Friday, May 26, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish with Father Joe Holzhauser officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call this Thursday afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the mass at the church Friday morning. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM this Thursday evening at the funeral home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Esther Fenski was born Caroline Esther Reinartz on June 25, 1914, to John and Elizabeth (Reinsbach) Reinartz on a farm near Ethan, SD. The family moved to Huron in 1925. Esther graduated from Huron High School in 1932. She then worked at Newberrys for 7 years, and also for Bales Caf, the Chef Caf, and Raven Industries. On September 15, 1940, Esther married Ray Fenski at Huron. Esther became a resident of the Huron Nursing Home in July 0f 2000. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish (St. Martins Catholic Church). She is survived by 1 son, Gary Fenski of Huron; 2 daughters, Judith (Gene) Schorzmann of Estherville, IA, and Carol (Martin) Anderson of Hitchcock; 8 grandchildren, Jim Schorzmann, Julie (Schorzmann) Reith, John Anderson, Nicole Anderson, Kristi Anderson, Laura Anderson, Erica (Mike) Krajewski, and Adam (Dezarae) Fenski; 7 great grandchildren, Christopher Reith, Britney Reith, Kerstin Schorzmann, Kayla Schorzmann, Gage Fenski, Josephine Krajewski, and Miles Krajewski; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray on July 6, 1983; 2 brothers, Albert Reinartz, and Leo Reinartz; and 2 sisters, Margaret Nordquist, and Leona Schultz.
