Obituary

Emily June Pugsley, infant daughter of Erick and Jacqulyn Pugsley, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Huron, with burial at the Riverside Cemetery in Huron. Visitation with the family present will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, with a prayer service to begin at 6:30 p.m.; or one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Emily June Pugsley was delivered at 10:09 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2015, just a week before her due date a beautiful baby girl with dark hair and delicate features. Erick and Jackie were expecting their third child to be delivered via c-section on Friday, Nov. 20. Erick is employed as a night charge nurse at SunQuest Healthcare Center and Jackie is a full-time stay-at-home mom. On Thursday Jackie felt what she described as contractions, so she and Erick packed a bag and took their two children, Victoria age 2 1/2 and Sarah age 1 1/2, to Huron Regional Medical Center. When they arrived at the hospital, joy and anticipation quickly turned to horror when nurses and doctors could not find a heartbeat. Emily June Pugsley was delivered at 10:09 p.m. stillborn. She weighed 6 pounds, with a length of 19-inches, and had delicate, angelic features. Earlier on Thursday she was moving around in the womb with no issues, but sometime during the day something went horribly wrong. The doctor still is not sure what caused her death and told them that they may never know. Emily June is in heaven now and feels no pain; she is with Jesus. But the rest of us here left behind are still trying to cope with this and understand the loss of this precious innocent life. Beautiful Emily did not have a chance to even take her first breath, but she has touched so many hearts and lives. She leaves behind her parents, Erick and Jackie Pugsley of Huron, and two sisters, Victoria Ann and Sarah Marie; her grandparents, Bob and Crystal Pugsley of Huron, and Jim and Jan Kleinsasser of Las Vegas, Nev.; and aunts and uncles, Shawn and Kara Pugsley of Huron, Stacey and Ronnie Tschetter and Brandon of Huron, Jamie Kleinsasser of Huron, Jimmy Kleinsasser of Wisconsin, Jenny Kleinsasser of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Jesse Kleinsasser of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a great-grandfather, Marvin Lonneman of Worthington, Minn. She was welcomed to Heaven by her great-grandparents, Carol and Clarence Vander Laan, Harold and Irma Pugsley, Ardys June and Jake Kleinsasser, and Ev Lonneman. "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein" Luke 18: 16-17, KJV
