Elizabeth Glanzer, age 61, of Hillside Colony, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at her home. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Hillside Colony, Doland, South Dakota.

Elizabeth Wipf was born on March 15, 1959 to parents David and Rachel (Wurtz) Wipf at Rockport Colony near Alexandria, South Dakota.

Elizabeth was joined in marriage to Ruben Glanzer on May 5, 2001 and immediately became a mother, a grandmother, and a höf-mother. It was an undertaking that she wholeheartedly embraced and she seemed born for.

Her joy was in her family and you could see her face light up whenever she saw one of her grandchildren. It was a common sight to see her embracing them whenever she saw them—no matter when or where.

She was head cook for nine years until illness forced her to step aside. Many evenings she could be found in Ruben's office helping him with his Haushatter duties. She endured much in the course of her illness but remained steadfast in her love for the Lord and for Gemeinshaft.

She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Ruben of Hillside Colony; four children, Dennis (Laura) Glanzer and their children, Dennesa, Michael, Karen, Kenneth, Eugene, Eric and Dillon, all of Hillside Colony; Kenneth Glanzer of Sioux Falls; Rachel (Loren) Waldner and their children, Susanne, Annie, Ava, Lori, Jeremy, and Jake, all of Hillside Colony; Clarena (Ryan) Wipf and their children, Emma, Benjamin, Tristan, and Andrew, all of Willow Bank; She is also survived by 5 brothers and 8 sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Rachel; 1 sister and 4 brothers.
