Edward M. Lyon, age 66, of 628 Nebraska Ave SW, Huron, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Sanford USD Medical Center at Sioux Falls. His Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 15th at the Huron Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Lafreniere officiating. There will be no visitation. Edward Michael Lyon was born on December 23, 1940, to Clarence and Rebecca (Glanzer) Lyon at Huron. He attended Huron grade school and Huron High School. On September 27, 1959, Ed married Juanita Nelson at Huron. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1961. Ed and Juanita lived in Huron until 1970, when they moved to Wisconsin. They moved back to Huron in 1979, where he has lived since that time. He was employed at Terex Manufacturing for 13 years. He was a member of the Huron Baptist Church and the Baptist Mens Group. He loved to listen to Gospel music and Blue Grass music. He also liked gardening, reading, collecting, and especially being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Lyon of Huron; 2 sons, Michael (Michelle) Lyon of Huron and Christopher Lyon of Sioux Falls; 1 daughter, Barbara Lyon of Huron; 13 grandchildren, Sarah, Ericka, Rebecca, Cassandra, Christa, Zach, Jordan, Nathaniel, Joshua, Seth, Carleigh, Camyrn and Cayden; and 2 great grandchildren, Kiana and Haley. He was preceded in death by his parents.
