His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May, 11 at Welter Funeral Home with military honors by the Huron Veteran's Council.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, with the family present from 5-7 pm at Welter Funeral Home.

Edward W.K. Peskey, Jr., was born on August 29, 1936 to Edward and Evelyn (Moeding) Peskey, Sr. Edward grew up in the Huron area and attended Huron schools graduating in 1954. Ed joined the Army in 1961 and served his country for five years until his honorable discharge in 1966.

Ed worked for Bartholow's Construction and then started his career with Hurd Alignment for over 30 years. After retirement, Ed purchased a septic truck and worked with Owen Loma for over 10 years. Ed never liked to sit still and enjoyed being busy.

He met Margie Jean Sargent in 1958 and the couple got married on December 9, 1962 at the Labor Temple in Huron.

Ed was a proud member of the American Legion and the NRA. He enjoyed gardening, guns, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter and great-granddaughters. For many years, Ed took care of his wife, Margie, as her health declined.

Ed was always a fighter; being born blue, he never gave up and lived a long, full life which his family is thankful for.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Lynne Peskey of Huron; one grand-daughter, Chesney Peskey of Huron; two great-granddaughters, Rosalee and Aubree Peskey of Huron; brother Richard Peskey and sister Nila Ondricek, both of Huron.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 51 years, Margie; brother Donald Peskey and sister Cindy Waldner; and niece Jami Waldner.
