On April 23, 1938, Edna was married to Peter Gross. Both Peter and Edna farmed in Lake Byron Township for many years. Following their retirement in April 1980, they moved to Huron.

When Edna was younger, she enjoyed sewing, and making clothing and quilts for her family. In her later years, Edna loved to have company stop by the house for a visit. Her faith carried her through all of lifes ups-and-downs for 96 years.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Sharon (Roy) Andersen of Huron; 4 grandchildren, Rae Ann Larson of Madison, SD, Marsha (Travis) Zimmerman of Omaha, NE, Geoffrey (Julie) Gross of Mitchell, SD, and Garrett (Mindy) Gross of Sioux Falls, SD; 10 great grandchildren, Alee (Brian) Larson, Alex (Megan) Larson, Adam Bickett, Jazzmyne Zimmerman, Madisen Zimmerman, Simon Zimmerman, Garrison Gross, Jameson Gross, Ava Gross, and Elyse Gross; 2 great great grandchildren, Daemon Robertson, and Emily Larson; 1 daughter-in-law, Georgia Gross of Mitchell, SD; and a nephew, Orrin Tschetter of Lake Byron, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter on May 11, 1981; 1 son, Lyle in 1981; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Edwin B. and Alice Tschetter; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Otto Brandenburg; and a niece, Barbara Tschetter.
