Duncan Flann, the son of Ellsworth J. and Ruth Anne (Hunter) Flann, was born on April 19, 1933 in Lake Lillian, MN.  He attended schools in Lake Lillian and graduated from Bird Island High School.  Duncan also attended Augsburg College in Minnesota and graduated with a Degree in Finance.  Duncan started his career in banking at Lake Lillian, MN before moving to Iroquois, SD where he became the president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Iroquois, retiring after many years of service. Duncan also received a certificate for 50 years of service in banking.

Duncan was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Iroquois, SD.  His Trinity United Methodist Church family were very important to him as well as his actual family and he loved visiting with his family and many friends. Duncan also enjoyed traveling to many places including Russia and Israel.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his 2 brothers: Dallas (Sharon) Flann of Overland Park, KS and Douglas (Alice) Flann of Bloomington, MN; sister, Nancy Shephard of Aptos, CA; two brother's-in-law, Kenneth Gaul and Norman Seehusen; and several nieces and nephews.

Duncan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cyrus Flann; sisters, Marielgien Gaul and Sharon Seehusen.
