Dorothy J. Wipf , 88, Spink Colony, Frankfort, SD died Friday, January 20, 2017 at her home with her loving family at her side.

Funeral Services for Dorothy will be 2 pm, Monday, January 23, at Spink Colony.

Dorothy was born on February 6, 1928 to Joseph and Susanna (Kleinsasser) Waldner, at Bon Homme Colony, where she lived until 1945 when she moved to Spink Colony near Frankfort, South Dakota.

On February 4, 1950, Dorothy married John J. Wipf at Spink Colony.  They were married 66 years and were blessed with five sons and eight daughters, whom they cherished.

Grateful for having shared in Dorothy's life are her husband, John; sons, Jerry (Margaret) Wipf, Johnny (Elizabeth) Wipf, Rev. Samuel (Pauline) Wipf, Joseph (Linda) Wipf, Eli (Linda) Wipf, all of Spink Colony, Frankfort; daughters, Blondina (Dave) Stahl, Newport Colony, Claremont, Ruth (Amos) Wollman, Lismore Colony, Clinton, MN, Susanna (Albert) Stahl, Newport Colony, Claremont, Kathryn (Sammy) Wollman, Lismore Colony, Clinton, MN, Mary (Joey) Wipf, Spring Prairie Colony, Hawley, MN, Rachel Wipf, Spink Colony; son-in-law, David (Margaret) Waldner, Spink Colony; 54 Grandchildren, 87 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy Waldner and Abigail Wipf; 1 grandson, Darren Stahl; her parents; 4 brothers, Joseph, Jerry, Elias, and Samuel; 5 sisters, Elizabeth, Susanna, Magdalena, Rebecca and Rachel.
