Doris I. Garcia, age 45, of Huron died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Huron Regional Medical Center. Doris Garcia was born May 29, 1966 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Libio Maclin Lasico and Maria Esther Maclin. She attended school through 6th grade in Honduras. In 2005, Doris moved to Houston to be near some of her family. She moved to Huron in May of 2009. Doris married Adolfo Garcia October 26, 2009 in Huron. Doris and her family were grateful for the fellowship and friends that they met at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostes Getsemani, Iglesia Alfay Omega, Dakota Provisions, and L.S.I. Doris is survived by her husband, Adolfo Garcia of Huron; sons, Osman (Leticia) Oswaldo Valeriano, and James Jonathan Valeriano of Honduras; daughter, Merarys (Carlos) Velasques of Honduras; 2 grandchildren; her parents in Honduras; her siblings, Marcia Maclin, Ruty Maclin, Gladys Maclin, Joel Maclin, all of Houston, TX, and Glenda Maclin of Honduras; many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her brothers, Jose and George Maclin. Her visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostes Getsemani. She will be buried in Tegucigalpa, Honduras at a later date. Welter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
