Obituary

Dorinda Rae Huth, age 70 of Huron, SD, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home in Huron. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Welter Funeral Home in Huron. Dorinda Rae Simonich, the daughter of Wayne Edward and Lucille Irene (Foster) Simonich, was born on June 24, 1944 in Huron, SD. Dorinda's mother married Marvin Coil and he helped raise her from the age of two as her step father. She attended elementary and high school in Huron and received her GED. She also attended Sierra College majoring in psychology. Dorinda worked for many years as an over the road truck driver and lived in Las Vegas, Reno, Los Angeles, North Hollywood, Forest Hill, and various other places in California and Nevada before moving back to Huron. Dorinda was a member of the Moose Lodge. She loved reading and watching old movies. She loved butterflies, her guardian angels, and the color purple. Dorinda was always willing to lend a helping hand and take care of others. Grateful for having shared in Dorinda's life are her daughter, LeNore White-Steinmetz of Huron, SD; four grandchildren: Justin (Brandy) White of Huron, SD, Krystal (Joe) White-Mastel of Forestburg, SD, Travis (Stacey) White of Cavour, SD, and Augustus Steinmetz of Mitchell, SD; eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers: Allyn (Virginia) Simonich of Sioux Falls, SD, Rodney (Kathy) Coil of Belvedere, IL, and Freddy (Marsha) Coil of Huron, SD; sister, Stephanie Simonich of San Jose, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Dorinda was preceded in death by her parents; step father; grandson, Fredrick Berriman Salter; and niece, Tonya Jo Coil.
