Dora Bell, age 80, of 1075 9th St SW, Huron, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 4th at the Huron Wesleyan Church with Rev. Robert Theis officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the service at the church Saturday morning. There will be a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM Friday evening at the funeral home with the family present from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Dora Bell was born Dora Francesca Di Palma on July 17, 1925, to Joseph and Carmela (Catuogno) Di Palma in Capri, Italy. She attended grade school in Italy. On July 25, 1946, Dora married Richard Bell on the island of Capri. She met her husband Richard in Capri, Italy during World War II. They moved to a farm in the Raymond area in 1946 and in 1955 they moved to Burbank, CA. She was a very loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her church and family. In 1963 they returned to Huron were she has lived since that time. She is survived by four children, Barbara (Rick) Sammons of Huron, Nancy Eveleth of Sioux Falls, Douglas (Teresa) Bell of Huron and Renee (Wayne) Hanson of Huron; 11 grandchildren, Ricky Sammons, Ryan Sammons, Tisha (Todd) Bourne, Mandra (Alex) Connelly, Jamie Eveleth, Carey (Bill) Hoffman, Blaze Hanson, Brooke (Jeff) Culver, Justin Bell, Jason Bell and Shayla Peterson; 10 great grandchildren, Hunter, River, Sage, Vincent, Bella, Owen, Sophia, Gracie, Regan and Haley. She is also survived by a beautiful family in Capri Italy, 3 brothers, Vincent, Johnnie, and Enrico; 2 sisters, Anna and Pia and 1 sister Lydia in Switzerland; 1 sister-in-law, Ester Hammer of Mellette, SD and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard on September 22, 1998, her parents, her daughter-in-law, Lori Bell, and 2 brothers. Casket bearers will be Ricky Sammons, Ryan Sammons, Justin Bell, Jason Bell, Blaze Hanson and Hunter Bourne. Honorary casket bearers will be Tisha Bourne, Jamie Eveleth, Mandra Connelly, Carey Hoffman, Brooke Culver and Shayla Peterson.
