Dolores M.  Dolliver, the daughter of Dallas and Estelle (Kunzman) Dolliver, was born on August 1, 1926 at Highmore, SD.  She attended country schools
Dolores married Raymond A. Ellerton on May 3, 1949 in Highmore, SD.  The couple made their home in Holabird where they owned and operated a grocery store. They moved to Huron in 1960.  After Ray passed away on Feb. 1st, 1992, Dolores moved to the Courtyard Apartments in Huron.
Dolores was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary.  She was also a member of the Huron Senior Center and volunteered there for over 17 years, until her health limited the time spent at the Senior Center.  Dolores enjoyed putting puzzles together and doing word puzzles.  Dolores loved spending time with her family and friends and was known for her infectious laughter and her unique homemade pies.
Dolores led a simple life but she was always willing to open her house up for the neighborhood children waiting for the bus during the cold winter months and the 4-H families attending the South Dakota State Fair, and she continued doing this even after her children had grown up and moved away.
Grateful for having shared in Dolores' life are her three sons and their families, Don (Kathy), Rosemount, MN, Glen (Russanne), Mitchell, SD, and Dale (Glenda), McCook, NE; six grandchildren, Amanda (Peter Wagenius), Tim (Carly), Eric (Dani), Ryan (Monacha), Terra (Brian Michaelis), and Chad; twelve great-grandchildren, Tallulah, Paige, Mackenzie, Tea, Devin, Jaylynn, Hayden, Haylee, Kassidy, Mason, Lincoln, and Kenzie; three sisters Mary, Lois, and Ruth, and four brothers; Ken (Edna), Ed (Diana), Delmer, and William; sisters-in-law, Florence Ellerton and Charlotte Dolliver; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,  Raymond; four brothers: Denzil, LeRoy, Lyle, and Dean; and three sisters: Ann Marie, Phyllis, and Alice

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be given to Huron Senior Center.
