Rev. Der Lwei Say, age 60, of Huron SD, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, at his residence. Funeral service is on October 4 th (Sunday) at Huron Baptist Church (1:00PM) with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
Der was born on August 14 th , 1960, at Pauk Kone Village, Ayeyarwady Region, Burma, to Ta Loh and Poe Lay. He has 8 siblings, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and is the 6 th of eight. Four of his siblings are in Myanmar, one in Australia and two are in Texas, USA. He left his village in 1980 to serve his Karen people till 1995. United in marriage with his beloved wife Hser Gay on December 1 st , 1992. His life was transformed by God and attended Emmanuel Bible School in Thailand and started serving the Lord.
On November 5 th , 2008, Der Lwei Say and Hser Gay immigrated to Bakersfield CA, USA. Later, they move to Huron SD in December 2010. In 2012, Der co-founded Karen Christian Revival Church Huron SD where he served as pastor until he went home to be with the Lord. Loving people, friends and family, a strong believer in Christ, a prayer warrior, a praise and worshiper, loves church and its mission. He is survived by his wife Hser Gay of Huron, 4 sons, Ta K' Paw, Poe Say, Sloe Mo, Moo Law La and a daughter, Natalie Say.
