Dr. Demi Moon, age 51, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. 

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls beginning at 4:00 p.m. followed by a liturgical wake service at 7:00 p.m. 

Her memorial Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, SD with burial to follow at St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.

To honor her legacy a memorial scholarship fund has been established at Huron Area Educational Federal Credit Union. Checks can be sent to HAEFCU 1855 Arizona Ave. SW Huron, SD 57350. Please indicate Demi Moon scholarship in memo. 

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Daniel Moon, Sioux Falls, SD; her four children, Cassidy (Nolan) Walker, Nathan (Miah) Moon, Lillian Moon, and Sophia Moon, all of Sioux Falls, SD; her mother, Kathryn (Marshall) Limpic, Kansas City, MO; step-mother, Mary Mehling, Wessington, SD; Dan’s parents, George and Marsha Moon, Omaha, NE; brother, Tony (Kristin) Cronin, Huron, SD; half-sister, Kelly Cronin, Huron, SD; two step-siblings, Ryan (Megan) Myers and Vanessa (Bob) Perrenoud all of Huron, SD; Dan’s siblings, Nickie (Wade) Landis, Omaha, NE and Kevin (Sabra) Moon, Omaha, NE; many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Dean Cronin.
