Delilah ?Dee? Larson Polly, age 72, of 1225 Minnesota Ave SW, Huron died Friday, May 13, 2005, at her residence. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, at American Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Brandsrud officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call Monday afternoon and evening or Tuesday morning at the Welter Funeral Home or prior to the service at the church Tuesday afternoon. Dee Polly was born Delilah Grace Larson on October 30, 1932 to Lawrence William and Carrie (Myre) Larson in Brookings County, near Sinai, SD. She moved to Huron in 1942 and lived there until 1964 when she and her son moved to Tacoma, WA. She worked most of her life in nursing and retirement homes caring for the elderly. She then returned to Huron and was employed at Sunquest Village until her retirement. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of American Lutheran Church in Huron and Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tacoma, WA. Dee loved animals and flowers and things that grew, but most of all she loved people. She is survived by one son, Kendal (Sharon) Lehman of Tacoma, WA; 1 grandson, Richard; 2 great grandsons, Taylor and Ryan all of Tacoma, WA, one brother, Ronald (Janet) Larson of Huron; 3 brothers-in-law Allen Hegg of Huron, Al Braun of Hayden Lake, ID, and Floyd Brandenburg of Victoria, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Rosie Hegg, Marlys Braun, and LaVonne Brandenburg.
