David Allen Ringheimer age 75, of Huron, South Dakota passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7 ^th , 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are postponing David's service indefinitely. We truly appreciate the outpouring of support, love and prayers from everyone and hope you understand.  Dave will forever be in our hearts.

Dave was born in Wolsey, South Dakota on July 18 ^th , 1944 to Arthur and Ethelyn Ringheimer. Dave was one of sixteen siblings, he attended school in Wolsey and Huron, South Dakota. Dave married his soul mate Joannie in 1966 and they resided in Huron, South Dakota. Dave worked at Huron Tank and Culvert, he then followed that by working with the City of Huron at the Huron Airport. He later attended college to pursue a degree in Bookkeeping and became a Bookkeeper at A-1 Autobody. He was a salesperson at Runnings for the last 35+ years.

While raising their three children, Dave loved coaching his son's youth baseball teams. His passion for baseball continued throughout his life and the love of the game was passed down throughout their kid's and grandchildren's lives. An avid Minnesota Twins fan, Dave enjoyed attending countless Twins games over the years with his family. Along with sharing their love of baseball with their three kids, Dave spent many weekends taking the family camping, teaching them how to fish and hunt as they grew up.

Dave and Joannie spent much of their time with family and friends. Their favorite things to do were playing cards and attending their grandchildren's sporting events. Dave and Joannie traveled to 48 states and several countries over the years. They loved to get in the car and start driving, not knowing where they were going or when they were stopping. "Hey kids look, we're in Niagara Falls," Kids "What, wait, I thought you were going to Florida?"

Grateful for having shared his life with him, his wife of 53 years, Joannie Ringheimer. Dave and Joannie were blessed with three children; daughter Tina (Trent) Daly of Sioux Falls, SD, son Tony (Angie) Ringheimer of Volga, SD, and son Torry (Alison) Ringheimer of Sioux Falls, SD.

Dave's greatest love was his seven grandchildren; Allison, Brady, and Adam Daly, Jordyn (Layne) Lucas and Chase Ringheimer, and Tyler and Carter Ringheimer.

Dave was proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Ethelyn, and eight siblings.
