David Lyle Munger, age 77, of Huron, SD passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Huron, SD.  His memorial service is planned for a later date.

David Lyle Munger, the son of Harold C. and Lucy E. (Willoughby) Munger, was born on October 19, 1945 in Estelline, SD.  He attended school in the Erwin area. David served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. David worked as a plumbing contractor for Lawson Plumbing and Heating for 37 years before retirement.

David married Paulette Siver on December 1, 1977 in Huron, SD. The couple made their home on the farm in rural Huron.

David was a member of the DeSmet American Legion.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a collector of John Deere tractors and toys and stationary engines. David also enjoyed collecting antiques and various other collectibles.

Grateful for having shared in David's life are his wife, Paulette of Huron, SD; four sisters: Yolonda (Erling) Fugelso, Candace Mann, Brenda (Tommy) Tifft, and LeeAnn (Dennis) Johnson; brother, Wilson (Melany) Munger; sister-in-law, Nancy Brown; special niece, Kimberly Wagner and several other nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Charlotte Munger in infancy; and mother-in-law, Lucille Siver.
