Dana Allerdings, age 65, of Hudson and formerly of Huron, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. His memorial service is pending and will be held at a later date.

Dana was born January 25, 1955 in Huron, SD, to Arthur and Beverly (Archer) Allerdings.  He resided in Hudson, SD.  He graduated from Huron High School in 1973 and from Dakota Wesleyan in 1979 (B.S. with honors).

Dana lived in many parts of the country in his younger life.  He welded, or worked in Auto Body shops as he moved around. He enjoyed many years of the wanderlust.  He also loved spending summers working at his Grandparents farm.

He currently lived in Hudson SD where he had a community of supportive and loving friends.  He was happy.

Dana was passionate about music, and had a deep appreciation for other artists. He also played the piano, guitar, mandolin and violin and was known for singing Beatles tunes throughout his days.  He was a talented painter.  He liked working with oil paints and did still life and nature paintings.

He is survived by 3 siblings; Craig Allerdings of Watertown, SD, Lynette (John) Korbel of Watertown,SD, Leanne (Duane) Roy of Huron, SD., his beloved Nieces and Nephews, Brooke, Austin, Megan, Lyndsey, Braden and Johnnie and 8 grandnieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
