Cynthia Rose York, age 53, of Huron, SD, passed away at her home. Her Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron, SD, with burial of her cremated remains at the Riverside Cemetery in Huron, SD. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, at the Welter Funeral Home with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night; or one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Cynthia Rose Roth, the daughter of Clifford and Rose (Zirpel) Roth, was born on October 24, 1958 in Parkston, SD. She attended school and graduated from Huron High School. Cynthia married Brent York on December 18, 1991, in Terre Haute, IN. Cynthia loved to paint, and spend time with her family who will greatly miss her. Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Brent York of Huron, SD; son Dakota York of Huron, SD; parents Clifford and Rose Roth, of Huron, SD; two brothers, Gaylen (Rebecca) Roth, and Darin Roth, both of Huron, SD; two sisters, Carol (Wayne) Thedorff, of Vermillion, SD, and Stacy Bertera, of Detroit, MI; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her sister, Carla Roth; her maternal grandparents, Gottfried and Gertrude Zirpel; and paternal grandparents, Lehart and Elise Roth.
